The categories of a company and their products simplify the search for services and / or products on our website.

They help you to locate and organize every product that provides your company or other companies as well.

An example of how they work and how you can see them: the Categories are listed initially in the homepage of our website.

Clicking on one, you'll see presented the sub categories and the companies that have been positioned within that you have chose. There are two tabs:

  • the first show you the number of companies categorized under that category
  • the second one shows you the number of products categorized under that category

The first categorization you must do is for your company when you register your company, and then is convenient to categorize your products. When you enter your company, in the first step, you can categorize it under the activity that corresponds to your business, which is a mandatory step. Once there you are given one main category, which is obligatory, and two subcategories, which are optional.


To categorize the products you must login to your account, and then enter into “Edit my business”.

Next, click the option “Add or Edit Products”.


When manually adding products you can see the same "Categories" section as when posting/editing your company. By default in the "Categories" section on the "Add or Edit Products" form the same categories that your company has will be selected. You can easily change them here and select another category for each product if needed.

After specifying 3 levels of categories for your products, all Tuugo users will be able to see your products on Products Thematic page by specified top category (click on Products tab on Home page and then select category of your product) and on the corresponding listingpages, filtered by your products categories.  

Also here in the Control Panel in "Add or Edit Products" section you can create your own menu of categories for the products of your company by clicking on My Products menu link in the left menu. This categories menu will be displayed on your company profile page only and it will look more clear for users.  

If you decide to do that, you can create the entire category tree all at once, and then, when adding or editing the products, you must click on “Enable category tree for this product” to categorize each one in the ones you have set. 



When you enter the product for the company you can also assign keywords to each product, so that others users can find them in an easier way.


Whenever you categorize a product of yours, you can add it without problems, and that category will help your potential clients to find easily what they want on your company listing.
